I highly recommend Dr. Bauer and his staff! I called on a Monday morning and was given an appointment 45 minutes later despite a busy day. I was treated very professionally and in a friendly and caring manner. I was given comprehensive care and my issue resolved with 24 hours. Dr Bauer was not rushed and took extra time to explain everything.

Dr Bauer took care of a weirdly infected toe #2 which needed help and investigation. He was great, treated it with care and intelligence and got rid of the infection. His manner is friendly but very focused. I think I will be bringing my left foot to him later this year to get a bunion treated. He has a new way to do it, he said, unlike the 3 hour marathon I had in LA ten years ago. Highly recommended.

Dr Bauer and his staff are very accommodating and incredibly personal when you arrive in his office. He takes the time to explain your treatment options thoroughly and in terms that each patient will understand. I saw Dr. Bauer concerning a cyst on my foot. He tried a non invasive procedure first and then eventually I needed to have it removed surgically. The surgery went extremely well and healed quickly. Eventually I will have to have surgery on a bunion and Dr. Bauer and I have already discussed this surgery and the recovery process. I highly recommend his office for any podiatry issues.

Dr. Bauer has done a great job in treating my various bilateral ankle and foot issues. I chose Dr. Bauer as I was not satisfied with my veteran care. My long time podiatrist will be retiring and no longer does surgery, so he recommended Dr. Bauer to operate on my bunion. I was able to get an appointment in a timely manner and surgery went well. My surgery was a little more extensive and I am still recuperating. Dr. Bauer takes time to answer all questions and I've never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bauer to address any foot issues.

Dr Bauer has helped me in general as a diabetic, and in particular by creating inserts for my shoes (and my slippers for around the house) that allow me to walk pain-free and help prevent callouses and blisters.

The Summit Foot & Ankle group is amazing. I would strongly suggest this group to anyone with issues. I have a rare bone disorder and is in pain daily. They have found a way for me to be pain free for many months. I they are kind and very compassionate. Their staff is also outstanding.Thank you for always being willing to help me out. I have been to Mass General Hospital and also New York City and I have found the best doctor right here in the capital District. Dr. Bauer is definitely one of the best around for ankle and foot care. His bedside manner is like no other that I’ve ever encountered with other doctors. I have been fighting for many years not to have my foot amputated. I have been told many times that would be the best choice, but Dr. Bauer continuously finds ways to save my foot from amputation. He recently did cutting edge stem cell surgery using umbilical cord and embryonic membranes to heal a chronic wound that I’ve had for over 40 years. As of right now everything is going smoothly with the closure of the wound. I definitely would not hesitate to let this cutting-edge doctor perform surgery or advise you on the best medical procedures that might help you with whatever foot and ankle problems that you may have. I highly recommend Dr. Bauer and his awesome staff that he has in his office. He is by far one of the best doctors I’ve dealt with over my 40 years of dealing with foot and ankle problems.

I have been going to Summit Foot & Ankle for over 4 years now. I most recently had cadaver ligaments replacement surgery in my right ankle! Dr Bauer and his team are very professional and most of all caring! They make you feel welcome and comfortable! Dr. Bauer is very patient and always explains everything very thoroughly and answers any questions you have! Dr Bauer was the only doctor that said he can correct my club foot that I had for 67 years. When I went to him I decided to have my foot taking off because I had trouble walking. He corrected my foot now I can walk without pain , Thank God for Dr, Bauer.
